Reducing Waste, One Step at a Time!

Reducing Waste, One Step at a Time!

Think Differently & Act Differently is a 24-month Erasmus+ project (February 2022 – January 2024) with the main objective to raise awareness and motivate people to adopt a more environmentally friendly behavior. The project’s goal is to encourage families to adopt in their homes more environmentally friendly behaviors by transitioning from the consumerist economy (buy-use-throw) to the circular economy.

As part of the project framework, partners conducted workshops and awareness campaigns either in person or online, aligning with the TD&AD project plan. We observed that these workshops effectively equipped participants with essential knowledge about the circular economy and recycling, empowering them to actively implement the acquired insights and skills in real-life scenarios.

Through interviews conducted with six families after the workshops, driven by the motivation gained during our “Think Differently & Act Differently” project workshops, embraced transformative actions that will be presented in forthcoming blog posts.

The 1st Family: A Journey Towards Zero Waste

In their interview, the 1st family unveiled their shift from a disposable lifestyle to one focused on reducing waste. The 1st family, once accustomed to the “use and discard” mindset, embraced a transformative approach to waste. Through upcycling, and mindful purchasing, they drastically reduced their household waste. From repurposing everyday items to opting for package-free alternatives, their commitment to zero waste serves as an inspiring model for others.

This family stand as pillars of inspiration, illustrating how small yet purposeful actions within the home can catalyze profound environmental change. Their dedication, innovation, and collaborative spirit underscore the power of familial commitment to a sustainable future.
