Participating in educational programs represents a crucial phase in understanding the complexity of challenges posed by environmental pollution. Two significant events enriched with knowledge and practice highlighted the importance of education for transitioning towards a more sustainable way of life.
The first of these two events took place in Cascais, Portugal, where partners from Vida+Viva / Associação Animam Viventem provided invaluable insights into daily activities and their immediate impact on the environment. Visiting the Cascais Water Company and Tratolixo Waste Management provided a concrete demonstration of effective waste and water resource management. This practice, conveyed through an educational context, became a pivotal starting point for proactive actions at the local level.
The second event was held in the Greek city of Larissa under the leadership of the IED Institute of Entrepreneurship Development. Education on sustainable development and the circular economy was an opportunity for an in-depth understanding of the core concepts of sustainability. Addressing sustainability issues from various perspectives enriched discussions and resulted in a significant transfer of knowledge and experiences among partner organizations.
These events represent crucial steps towards implementing sustainable solutions and raising awareness about the importance of ecologically friendly practices within European communities. Education becomes the foundation for change, fostering the awareness and action necessary to create a more sustainable and responsible society.
