After completing both workshop sessions and understanding the importance of recycling and the
circular economy, one participant decided to change a few habits and improve his lifestyle and benefit that of the planet. We are talking about the more concrete breakdown of household waste, which generally groups plastic, cardboard, glass, inorganic and organic. Initially, only rubbish was divided into the latter two categories, due to a lack of awareness on the part of the authorities regarding environmental issues. With the passage of time, many households made the switch to separate waste collection, contributing positively to the issue in their own small way.
This change can only bring positive consequences, both for the environment and society: it significantly reduces the amount of waste going to landfill, helping to preserve natural spaces; it promotes a more sustainable use of resources, so as not to overwhelm the Earth; it leads to a better management of waste in general.
To sum up, separate collection is a fundamental step towards building a more environmentally friendly and responsible society, improving the quality of the environment and the communities in which we live.
